firstly I think it’s important to clarify that this post, at its very core, is about what we are trying to understand about a construction project. we want to know what is going on underneath the surface of a large building (that does not require any experience working in Silicon Valley).
there is no “evidence” that this poster provides, just vague correlations which they decide to use as proof because of their lack of familiarity in this field. when they says that the SAME contractors who worked on the pentagon and secure government buildings makes the probability of a secret project occurring underneath the surface of the ballroom higher.. why would that make you digest such a thing as proof? at most it’s just room for speculation.
the reality is that there is a very small list of approved prime contractors for these incredibly important government facilities, even for something as menial as a ballroom, there will only be a select few of approved groups to choose from. search it up if you don’t believe me. the same thing goes with the architects, they don’t just hire a random company, they will hire in their circle, people who have already worked on highly classified projects. the only “proof” this brings is that the White House is a highly secure site… which we know very well of course.
also, using caissons on a giant expensive building that was built on a sandy swamp does not mean they are “building a data center”. must I remind you that the dimwit european colonizers that had no knowledge or care for the land they seized were also ignorant to where would be best to place their capitol? just because the building is structurally sound does not mean there is some 9 story mega-beast AI deepstate underneath the White House.
Utility and water work, as well, happens in cities the size of DC pretty much every day. this is not irregular and should not be tolerated as sufficient “evidence”.
I think the cherry on top, if you still don’t believe me, is that we are always harping on how data centers use insane amounts of water to keep up with cooling requirements… how in the world would they be cooling this data center without leaving a trace? the poster acts as if you would need to just open a window or have an air vent or some crap.. the cooling requirements for a project THIS LARGE would require a chillwater plant the size of a FOOTBALL FIELD. please tell me where would they be hiding a dozen giant cooling towers, each that would require open air ventilation, for this project?
