In those days (late 60's to mid 70's) missions were classified as "Black Ops". Meaning no orders were formulated, recruitment was on a volunteer basis, no uniforms were worn to identify a specific nation and enrollment, centered around one's skill set and mission requirements ie: water insert, airdrop, jungle insert or desert etc.

The service to my country was in a civil capacity. Had I ever served I would hope it would have been in a foxhole next to men like yourself. To not have served with dignity and honor would been not to have served at all. When the US Navy did drug operations in the 80's, we investigated suspicious vessels and followed legal procedures to approach and board vessels after permissions were recieved.

Well said. I was curious about Mr Owen CPA, so I took a look at his substack “reads”. In perusing several it became obvious that the man is a simpleton. Most are a mishmash of rah rah Trump, most written for a 6th grade reading level. He does have the Bulwark, my guess is for trolling purposes. Tactically speaking, from a military standpoint, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. It’s that simple.
Many, many military analysts, saw this current situation coming a long time ago, but NO-ONE had the intestinal fortitude ie; (guts) to say it outloud. Not politically correct as they say. Which is a “crock of shit”! (movie scent of a woman).

When the US Navy did drug operations in the 80's, we investigated suspicious vessels and followed legal procedures to approach and board vessels after permissions were recieved.

Well said. I was curious about Mr Owen CPA, so I took a look at his substack “reads”. In perusing several it became obvious that the man is a simpleton. Most are a mishmash of rah rah Trump, most written for a 6th grade reading level. He does have the Bulwark, my guess is for trolling purposes. Glad I’m not in need of financial advice in Paducah Kentucky.
I know better than to pick on the less fortunate. They can be so annoying though. Sometimes I just can't hold my tongue. I believe we are fortunate to have lived in a time of enlightenment. I count those blessings to be most dear as the darkness begins once again to crowd in around us. It's not the ignorant now, whose voice we hear above the den spewing its hatred and ill will. Everyone is ignorant of something, there's no shame in it as long as your mind is open to being or becoming enlightened beyond our own selfish self-interest in life. No the voices we hear now are the voices of stupidity. Although I fully understand it cannot be cured I can't help but calling it out when I see it and hopes that others may not be an infected by it. It's definitely a disease of the mind. It's contagious and it spreads too easily amongst our species. Despite being an old hippie in the years of preaching peace and love I caught myself hating Trump more than any other man I've ever encountered in my life. The man has no soul. Other people's needs and lives don't mean any more to him than the gold toilet that he sits on every day. Maybe less? He has a thing for gold. That's when I realized he was winning. I had fallen for his only power. The power of hate. The hate disease is easy to spread especially amongst people who are struggling. Spread a little here and spread a little there and next thing you know you've inflamed everyone. Angry people don't focus well which is exactly the point. As long as we continue to hate each other he's going to continue to get away with murder and worse. Don't think that he's not capable of a genocide and not losing a night's sleepover. It was with forethought and premeditation that he starved to death tens of thousands of people around the world denying them food that was then left to rot on a dock.
Not that he doesn't deserve my hatred but it's the one thing he needs from me that he will never have. I'll never forgive him but I've stopped hating him. I've stopped hating the people that gave him his power for all of their stupidity and greed. I will endeavor to persevere with total indifference to his atrocities. I can't stop them but it's enough to know that I will never be a part of them. I wrote my senator a while back and revoked every oath and every allegiance I've ever taken to this country. Electing a rapist felon pedophile to the highest office in the land is a leap in morality that I will never ever ever condone or participate in. I won't attack this country but I'll never back it again. America has finally shown its ass to the entire world and there's no going back from here. All we have left are our guns are bombs in the hatred necessary to use them at will as long as we get our way. All levels of morality and decency no longer exist in this country to a point that they matter any longer. Some will say we've always been that way and they may be right but at least before Trump came along we had plausible deniability. We were at least willing to put up the facade of being moral and decent and acting out of kindness instead of greed. Helping lesser countries in an effort to spread our prosperity as opposed to our imperialistic ideals.
Who am I to judge it though? Our environment is imploding, nothing is being done to stop it, our population on this planet has far exceeded its ability to sustain itself with its unchecked population growth an insatiable lust for consumption the handwriting is on the wall for this species. As resources dwindle we will be like Easter Island. Only the most brutal and barbaric among Us Will survive the longest so I suppose living in the most brutal and barbaric country on the planet would at least Ensure one’s best chance of survival. Still, as I cling to my humanity is tightly as I can, once reduced to merely surviving leaves little room for anything left but shame and remorse for not having made more of a difference when I could…if I could.
So against my better judgment every once in awhile I just have to speak out against the madness. Like the babe crying out into the wilderness when not only is no one coming but now the wolves know exactly where it is.
